Roger McClellan, Vice President, opened the meeting in the absence of Trenna Kemp.  The March minutes were distributed to those present, but had been previously emailed also.

Motion was made by Melody Spears, seconded by Linda Hornaday, to approve the minutes as presented.  Motion passed.

Linda Hornaday, Treasurer, passed out the financial statement and after a brief discussion, it will be filed for audit.

Under old business, Roger McClellan advised the group he had installed the new 5’ by 7’ flag at the veteran’s park.   The last four bricks for the veteran’s park were received last week, however, one of the bricks received was not the brick ordered so the brick company is replacing the brick.  Once the replacement brick is received, the bricks will be installed.

The group was reminded the Great American Trash Cleanup will continue through May 31.  Melody Spears advised the group she has picked up trash along 6.2 miles for approximately 5 volunteer hours.  Trash has been picked up on Mt. Lebanon Rd, Towery Rd, Ron Scott Rd, Old School Rd, Mt. Elba Rd, and Farm to Market.  The flower boxes in New Edinburg were recently refurbished, stained and have been planted with summer flowers as a beautification project.  Flags were also mounted on the poles throughout the downtown area.

The spring junk hunt was another successful event for the group and Roger, Patricia, Melody, Brenda and Luis actually picked up items in Sheridan for the fall junk hunt on Monday, April 13.  Approximately, 46 ½ hours in volunteer hours was accumulated on April 13.

No decision was made regarding a May game night.  Motion was made by Don Triplett to adjourn, seconded by David Kemp.  Motion passed.
