America, first and foremost, needs a REVIVAL.
How “Christian America” has sunk so low morally is frightening. It is an indictment against the once strong voice of God’s people. The Bible preacher has fallen from respect in the community to defending his integrity. Researchers report that Americans think the church is irrelevant.
Old Testament prophets witnessed a similar attitude, and cried out against sin. In most cases God sent judgment before nation repented. America cannot be far from divine anger. How or when it will come is a matter of sovereign justice. God’s wrath cannot be far away from a people who will flaunt evil as if it were a trophy.
Thankfully a growing desperation for God is evident among many believers. Our attention must turn from political promises to the immutable, all-powerful God who saves us. Will you pray this prayer with me from Psalm 85:6:
“Will you not REVIVE us again, that your people may rejoice in you?”
